Shed Dog - Level 1

Looking to introduce your dog to the fun and rewarding world of Shed Hunting? This class is designed for dogs who are brand new to the sport! Together, we’ll build the foundation skills needed to find and retrieve antlers using positive reinforcement and plenty of encouragement.

Dogs will learn how to search, indicate, and handle real and imitation antlers while building confidence in a variety of environments. Handlers will learn how to read their dogs, set up successful training sessions, and develop teamwork that sets the stage for future competition or just a fun outdoor adventure together!

Perfect for curious canines of all breeds and experience levels who love to use their noses and their brains.

While we will go over rules of the game in class, it is always best to read the official rulebook found here (NASDA Rulebook).

Dogs will work 1 at a time and need to be kept in your car when it is not their turn to work.  This will help each dog be able to focus on the task at hand and not worry about what their classmates are doing.  

Proof of DHPP & Rabies are required.
