Are you just looking for a fun activity to do with your dog?

If you answered yes to any of these, then Barn Hunt is for you!

This growing dog sport allows dogs to safely use their nose to search for and find rats hidden in a straw bale maze.

Our rats love working with the dogs and have been trained for this work since they were babies! They are beloved pets and very well cared for under strict Barn Hunt Association rules.

Learn about competition or just come and play for fun!

Dogs must be able to handle confinement in a crate or properly equipped vehicle between turns.

Parkour

$165, 6 weeks (60 min)

Parkour for dogs, also known as "urban agility", combines elements of human parkour and dog agility to create a challenging but fun physical activity that helps build strength and body awareness, as well as boost confidence and overcome fears. Dogs work on ways of conquering obstacles found in their everyday world by jumping, climbing, balancing, crawling, going around, and more. It can be done anywhere, limited only by your imagination, and all dogs can participate in some form of parkour. Still not sure what parkour looks like? Watch a video of parkour in action. Walks with your dogs will never be the same again!

For safety, dogs will need to wear a harness with the leash clipped to the back (not a no-pull harness) and straps appropriate for the size of the dog (at least 1-inch straps for all but the smallest dogs). Repeat students welcome!  Take this class again to keep expanding your dog's parkour moves!

Rally is a fun sport that takes basic behaviors your dog already knows (such as sit, down, and stay) and strings them together on a course using signs that tell you what to do.  It's a great way to polish up your dog's basic behaviors while learning fun new skills.  It can also help to improve your teamwork and communication and develop your dog's focus on you, which is useful in distracting real-world situations.  Rally is a low-impact, dog-friendly sport, great for handlers and dogs of all abilities and ages.  Not sure what rally is all about? Watch a video of rally in action!

To get the most out of this class, dogs should have a basic understanding of sit, down, stay, and loose leash walking.  Dogs must be able to handle confinement in a crate or properly equipped vehicle away from handlers. Repeat students welcome! Take this class again to keep learning new Rally moves!

Fenzi TEAM Work

$165, 6 weeks (60 minutes)

Are you interested in competing with your dog? With the Fenzi TEAM titling program, you can earn titles by video while working on your dog's foundation skills.  It's a great way to find those little holes in your training - and fix them before you ever enter a ring.  The skills covered are especially applicable to Rally, Obedience, and Freestyle, but there is something for you if you and your dog do Nose Work, Parkour, Agility, or even just tricks!  All sport dogs need to learn how to work in the face of distractions or when you don't have any food on you - two skills covered in this program, and useful for all dogs in real-world situations.  Learn more about the Fenzi TEAM program, including the skills for each level.

Not at all interested in competition?  There's still something for you in this class!  Teach your dog exciting new skills (like jumping, finding an object by smell, or stepping their rear feet around a bucket) while adding fun challenges to master known cues (have you ever tried telling your dog "sit" or "down" while you're marching in place?). Improve your training mechanics to become a better teacher for your dog, which in turn will help improve your relationship, teamwork, and communication with each other.  Train fancy precision behaviors in a way that's fun for both of you while learning a variety of tools and techniques to teach them - and other fun tricks too!

To get the most out of this class, dogs should have a basic understanding of sit, down, stay, and nose touch (to hand or other object). Repeat students welcome! Take this class again to keep working on your dog's skills and to learn new skills for higher TEAM levels!
