Puppy Training
We offer unique puppy programs unlike any other that can include our Puppy Discovery Socials, and Puppy Group Classes. You can choose to enroll your puppy in any or all of these!
Our Puppy Foundation Skills Level 1 class is our foundation group puppy class. It is a 6 week class and we will work on teaching puppies basic manners and obedience training. Our Puppy Discovery, Enrichment and Social exposes puppy to a wide variety of items to ensure early confidence building and problem solving. We strongly encourage people to do both our Foundation Skills puppy classes as well as our Puppy Discovery, Enrichment, and Social classes. In fact, if you are waiting for your puppy class to start, the Puppy Discovery Social will kick start your training.
If you would prefer to have a trainer come to your home, email Martha@dodgersPaws.com Please note that due to an increase in demand, there is a 3-4 week wait for appointments.
We do have preplanned skip days/weeks for holiday and school schedules. You can see the current list of days that most classes will skip here (Holiday Schedule). All classes have "Session Notes" that outline any preplanned skips for each class.
$235, 6 weeks -60 min each week
This is more than just a positive reinforcement puppy class - this is a quality program that will give you and your puppy a great start together! This program is designed to provide you and your puppy with an introduction to the basics, begin to develop important socialization skills, and provide necessary enrichment experiences, all in a positive and safe environment. Puppies will learn behaviors such as sit, down, stay, leave it, come and more. In addition, challenging puppy behaviors such as mouthing, handling, jumping up, potty training, and grooming will be discussed.
Don't forget to sign your puppy up for our specially designed Puppy Discovery Socials for their best possible start!
Vaccines: Proof of one DHPP vaccine given one week prior to the start of class and puppy must have been in their home for a minimum of 10 days. Vaccine records must be emailed to Martha@DodgersPaws.com
There are no make ups for missed classes. If your puppy is ill, we suggest attending class without them so that you can see what has been taught and when your puppy is feeling better, you can work on the curriculum with them at home.
Classes are 6 weeks (please see "Session Notes" for any skip weeks). We meet the same day and time each week for 1 hour.
Please note that in the summer months, we may have to skip unexpectedly due to heat/smoke.
Registering 2 puppies for the same class: Please note that we highly suggest registering each puppy for their own class time. This will give them the opportunity to learn to be apart from each other, work independently and build a relationship with you. We understand that not everyone's schedules allow for signing up for 2 different classes. If you need to register 2 puppies for the same class, each puppy must have their own dedicated adult handler attend class with them. This will give you the ability to focus on what is being taught.
Children and Guests in class: We also ask that you limit those who attend class to those who are actively participating in training and who can remain quiet during class.

For puppies 9 weeks to 20 weeks at the start of class.
This is a semi private class and will only have 2 puppies in the class. This option is great for best friends who just got puppies and want them to grow up together & people who want a more intimate (yet socially distanced) class setting. This class is not ideal for families who have adopted litter mates. We suggest that each puppy attend separate classes when you have litter mates.
